  1. Delinquent Tax Advertisement to be Published Next Weekend

    Approximately 40,350 Mecklenburg County property owners who have delinquent 2023 real and personal property tax bills will have their names and the principal amount they owe published, as required by state law, in The Charlotte Observer, on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Bills paid after Feb. 29, 2024, may be included in the advertisement. 

  2. Notice: Final Day to Pay Property Taxes Without Interest is Jan. 5  

    The Office of the Tax Collector (OTC) encourages taxpayers to remit their tax payments now to avoid delinquency. Real estate and personal property tax payments must be paid or postmarked by the United States Postal Service (USPS) on or before Jan. 5, 2024, to avoid interest charges.
